Kao=S is a traveling music group that has its own music style
that combines Japanese traditional music and rock music.
One of the group members is Jack, a Tsugaru-shamisen player who travels around the world to improve his shamisen skills and technique.
One day, he stays in an inn deep in the mountains. When he goes to bed,
for some reason, his body won't obey him!
According to the legend of Otodama (sound spirit), when a person hears the sound of Otodama, he will lose control over his own body, and then he will be attacked by "someone."
Will Jack be able to escape from Otodama successfully!?
This is a spin-off manga created by an actual band, Kao=S, which features its band members!!

I love manga, but this was disappointing. I know this is a promotion item for a Japanese band but still they could have put more of an effort in the story and in the translation. When reading through the story the wording becomes backwords or the structure is completely wrong. Its hard to follow what the story line is if theres one at all and what roles each character plays. It's sad to see when a product that's promotional its so far from the mark due to a careless marketing department. Who knows if more effort were put in it might have yielded new fans.Product details

A little too fast paced for me. I do prefer it fast but this is too fast. I would like some more information on the whereabouts, how it took place, and why it took place. This manga was a nice read but not for the likes of me.
Lovely art and a cute little read, visually entertaining although short. I enjoy having it in my kindle library for an occasional looksie!
It is, as you will see in many reviews, short. It's like an exert, and the story was okay. If they would have went into greater detail about the ghost it'd be great. The dialogue didn't seem to be flowing. Example "Oh there are ghosts chasing us. Oh cool.play your instrument and they'll die." That's not from the manga, but you get my point.... But overall it was entertaining.
Its a good story and wonderful to read on down time when you don't want to stretch your brain I definitely recommend this book to my friends and other young adults that enjoy a good comic.
I've been reading books since I was a teenager. So I can pretty much understand any book I read. Sadly for some reason I just didn't get this book. It really was a waste of time. Can't even think what the plot was about. Not even how it finished.
Graphics were good, although the script was sometimes difficult to read as it was lightly drawn in spots and I could not enlarge the panels. Some humor is present, but suffers from a strange storyline with two dudes battling ogres with music from their guitars. For a stand alone comic it wasn't bad, but I am wanting more for it to be manga I would care to reread. That said, I would give it a solid three stars, same as most reviewers have ranked it so far.
It's been a while since I have read this manga, but I remember really likeing what it was. The art style is unique, the story is alright, if not odd, and it introduced me to what would become one of my favorite traditional Japanese-like music artists to this day. But, I don't think you should buy this for $2 because of the length of it. It is way too short, and I remember it leaving me wanting more. To my knowledge, this is not a manga series, which is kind of disapointing and kind of a missed opportunity. I feel like the only reason why this exists is to promote Kao=s' musical work, which you should go check out when you get the chance to. I would not reccomend buying this, unless this is part of a series that I'm not aware of, in which case go for it.
